For the Brille Traiskirchen eyeglass shop, the architect developed a backlit shelving system with shelves that were to be inserted into slots. Since these slots were to be just 4 mm wide, coating them using conventional lacquering techniques was not possible.
In cooperation with the company i-coat, which had developed a powder-coating process for MDF boards, the Bereuter carpenter’s workshop was able to produce the shelves in the required quality and yet at low cost.
